    Ray Dalio

    Ray Dalio is a renowned American investor, hedge fund manager, and author, best known as the founder of Bridgewater Associates, the largest hedge fund firm in the world. Born in New York in 1949, Dalio established Bridgewater in 1975. Under his leadership, the firm grew into a global financial powerhouse, managing hundreds of billions of dollars.

     

    Dalio is celebrated for his unique approach to investing and his deep insights into global macroeconomics. He developed the famous theory "How the Economic Machine Works," which explains the impact of credit, interest rates, and economic cycles. His investment strategy, known as the "All Weather Strategy," emphasizes asset diversification and risk balance to achieve stable returns across varying economic conditions.

     

    Known for fostering a culture of “radical transparency” and principles-based decision-making at Bridgewater, Dalio outlined his life and work philosophies in his bestselling book Principles (2011). A philanthropist as well, he focuses on education and economic equality through the Dalio Foundation, aiming to promote social progress.
